Account Deletion

This page explains how to delete your VertiStar account, what happens to your data once you do, and how to reach us if you need help. You can request account deletion at any time.

Delete Your Account In the App

The account deletion flow is available directly inside the VertiStar app. To delete your account:

  1. Log in to the VertiStar app.
  2. Go to My Account › Account Settings.
  3. Select Delete Account.
  4. Confirm the deletion request.

Once submitted, your account and associated data will be deleted in accordance with the data retention practices described below.

Delete Your Account by Email

If you are unable to access the in-app flow, you can request deletion by emailing help@vertistar.app from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line "Account Deletion Request." We may ask you to verify ownership of the account before we process the request.

What Data Is Deleted

When your deletion request is processed, we remove the personal data tied to your account, including:

  • Your account profile and login credentials
  • Personal details such as name, email address, and phone number, where provided
  • Viewing history, watchlists, and content preferences
  • App settings and personalization data
  • Subscription and account status information
  • Content you submitted, along with comments, ratings, and votes tied to your account
  • Support and communication history linked to your account

Data We May Retain

Some information may be retained after account deletion where we are required or permitted to keep it. This includes:

  • Transaction and payment records retained for tax, accounting, and legal compliance
  • Records needed to prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations
  • Anonymized or aggregated data that can no longer be used to identify you

Retained information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes and is then deleted. Residual copies held in secure backups are removed as part of our normal backup rotation, within 90 days of the deletion request.

Processing Timeframe

We process account deletion requests and remove your account and associated personal data within 30 days of a verified request, except for the limited information described in "Data We May Retain" above. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
